Gordon Maccabee

Managing Director (Singapore)

Experienced in contact lens development, process optimisation and technology transfer since 1989, Gordon has worked in various technical roles, from Project Manager to Engineering Director, principally for Wesley Jessen, CIBAVision and Sauflon. Gordon moved to Singapore in 2007 to set-up CL Tech.

Ferry Widjaja

Director (UK)

Starting in the contact lens industry with CIBA Vision Indonesia in 1996, Ferry was heavily involved in technology transfers between USA, Europe and Asia. Experienced in product development, process optimization including Silicone Hydrogel. In 2006 he moved to UK to work for Sauflon CL Ltd and then MJS Lens Technology Ltd. After 3 years in Singapore with CL Tech, Ferry moved back to UK in 2013 to run the newly established CL TECH UK LTD office in Southampton.

Pete Stafford

Injection Moulding Specialist (UK)

Having been part of the team that developed the Coopervision cast moulding process in the 1980s, Pete went on to work for Wesley Jessen, CIBA Vision, Ocular Sciences and Sauflon in various process development and production roles. Having worked in technology transfer projects in USA and Europe, Pete brings over 25 years of experience in cast moulding and printing of coloured contact lenses to CL Tech.

Dr Angelica Lettera

Regulatory Affairs (Italy)

Dr Angelica was educated in Biology and in the 8 years since completing her Ph.D. has gone on to work in industry specialising in medical device regulatory affairs and notified body auditing.

Dr Samuel Godfrey

R&D Chemist (UK)

A UK educated Ph.D. Chemist, Sam works in CL Tech’s Southampton R&D centre on contact lens materials and product development projects

Brian Peel

Mechanical Designer (UK)

Brian has worked over 20 years in the design and manufacture of automated equiment. He brings to CL Tech a knowledge of 2D and 3D design skills, and experience of contact lens cast moulding machinery.

Neil Baron

Senior Automation Engineer (UK)

Neil is a hands-on Control Systems Engineer with 20 years experience in designing and programming controls systems for robotics and PLC automation. He has worked with contact lens production machinery in Europe and Asia and joined CL Tech in 2014.

Yeo Cze Song

Project Engineer (Malaysia)

Yeo graduated in Biological Systems Engineering in USA in 2008 and has since worked in medical device industry. He is in his first year with CL Tech working on process and machinery installation & development.

Tharnutpong Punyaroj

Project Engineer (Thailand)

An Electrical and Equipment Engineer, Non has 20 years experience in the visioncare industry supporting, commissioning and validating production automation and new product launches.

Akira Ishii

Sales & Marketing Director (Tokyo)

Ishii san has a wealth of experience over 30 years in the optical industry for HOYA before joining CL Tech in 2016.

Engineer (UK)

An experienced craftsman of 30 years standing, Dave is responsible for the process machinery in CL Tech’s UK R&D lab to produce optical tooling and developmental contact lenses
